Nihkee
Grumpy Spoken Word Poet
Nihkee (“Grumpy”) is a feminist performance poet and comedian, who centers the norm critical thinking, free communication and dark queer humour in everything they do
Their gigs are unapologetically rough around the edges, charming poetry hybrids combining spoken word, music, storytelling and comedy. Nihkee is both Finnish and Nordic Poetry Slam champion. Performing fluently both in Finnish and English they’ve become one of the most internationally known new Finnish performance poets.
Nihkee is currently writing and recording a new collection supported by Kone Foundation. It’s about Finnish nationalism and ice hockey, and they’re writing it with their dad.

“Am I reacting or am I responding? Whatever people are feeling at my shows I hope they ask themselves that first. Then we can talk.”
